As I started researching what to do in Greece, I found that what I really wanted was a bullet point list of the best activities. So I decided to do just that.

Here’s my [easy to follow] opinion on how to spend 2 days in Athens. If you want to see my full 10 Day Greece Itinerary, click here.

Day 1:

  • Our lodging in Athens
  • Metro from Athens Airport to Monastiraki Flea Market (€9 per person)
  • Monastiraki Flea Market (Souvineers)
  • Plaka District
  • Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens
  • Hadrian’s Arch
  • Temple of Olympian Zeus
  • Pantheatic Stadium

If you’re interested in visiting multiple ancient sites like The Acoropolis, Roman & Ancient Agoras, Hadrian’s Library, Temple of Olypmian Zeus and more, I suggest purchasing the multi-site ticket for €30 per person. The Acropolis alone costs €20 per person (if you decide not to purchase the multi-site ticket).

Day 2:

  • Acropolis Museum
  • Acropolis
  • Parthenon
  • Theater of Dionysus
  • Areopagus Hill
  • Hadrians Library
  • Roman Agora
  • Ancient Agora
  • Temple of Hephaestus
  • Stoa of Attalos
  • Syntagma Square
  • Parliament
  • National Garden
  • Zappeion
