“Fashion Prom” has come and gone, but not without some noteworthy risk-takers.

Keep in mind this “Best Dressed” list is a little out of my comfort zone and these looks are the opposite of minimalistic. But given the circumstances, I feel like this group nailed their dramatic looks.

Halle Berry in Atelier Versace
HALLE BERRY IN ATELIER VERSACE

Why? She played into the trendy, sheer look but amped up the risk with perfectly placed gold and black embellishments.

Zendaya in Dolce & Gabbana
ZENDAYA IN DOLCE & GABBANA

Why? She was a clear-choice winner of the night with a dramatic print, silhouette and hairstyle. For being so young, she definitely knows how to make a statement.

Lily James in Burberry
LILY JAMES IN BURBERRY

Why? When it comes to the Met Gala, this is considered subtle. But the textured boxy silhouette of the gown makes it ultra flattering and adding a wide black choker gives this look some edge.

Katie Holmes in Zac Posen
KATIE HOLMES IN ZAC POSEN

Why? Katie was built for this dress. It’s sophisticated, yet trend-right with overflowing ruffles and off the shoulder details.

Cara Delevingne in Chanel Haute Couture
CARA DELEVINGNE IN CHANEL HAUTE COUTURE

Why? If anyone knows how to turn heads, it’s Cara. This look is masculine with the perfect feminine touches to make her stand out from the crowd.

Lily Collins in Giambattista Valli
LILY COLLINS IN GIAMBATTISTA VALLI

Why? She went all-in with a short bob and dark makeup paired back to pink tulle. She found the best of both worlds with a sweet skirt and edgy bodice.

Priyanka Chopra in Ralph Lauren
PRIYANKA CHOPRA IN RALPH LAUREN

Why? If this doesn’t scream Ralph Lauren, then I don’t know what does. She owned this dramatic trench and worked that long train. Kudos.

Ashley Graham in H&M
ASHLEY GRAHAM IN H&M

Why? Ashley has an old Hollywood glam look and she’s taken the perfect amount of risk with floral ruffles on a figure hugging, corset-style gown.

Dakota Johnson in Gucci
DAKOTA JOHNSON IN GUCCI

Why? Ruffles and florals were out in full force this year and I love how simply dramatic this gown is. It may be on the subtle side for this event, but she nailed it.

Blake Lively in Atelier Versace
BLAKE LIVELY IN ATELIER VERSACE

Why? Our second Atelier Versace gown. And while most of the fashion world doesn’t agree, this might be my favorite look of the night. She had everyone talking about the unexpected feathered detail. And that’s really what it’s all about, right?

That does it for my Met Gala list. It’s always fun to see celebrities play with their look and get creative. There are so many more “out-there” styles, so be sure to browse the web and take a peek. See you next time.
