About a week late, but here they are…
I think the performances were the biggest takeaway of the night, but I always love taking another look at the fashions.
Why? First off, Chrissy Teigen can pull off anything. But this doubles as classy and sexy with a sheer lining and cut outs.
Why? It’s a subtle color with pops of detail. I’m glad they continued the flowers onto the sheer sleeves instead of making it sleeveless.
Why? I’m in love with this color, especially with her skin tone. The lace bodice and short-look make it feminine yet sporty.
Why? It reminds me that people other than the Kardashians can pull off Balmain. The studded jacket completes his sleek head-to-toe black look.
Why? I have a girl crush on Carrie- but even if you don’t, you can’t deny how amazing she looks. Incorporating trends like bell sleeves and a keyhole neck make this dress a 10.
Why? See above Nick Jonas description referencing Balmain and the Kardashians. Also, power to her for rocking a short dress.
Why? All over sparkles with a plunging neckline make this a win in my book. Plus, she’s definitely glowing from being newly engaged.
Why? Faith and Carrie must have called each other. They look equally beautiful in this power color. Faith went for all-red-everything and I’m not mad about it.
Why? I think the key to this dress is the embellished high neck. It adds just the right amount of edge to an otherwise ultra feminine look.
Why? Because she’s Adele. Honestly, it’s nice to see her in something other than black. While it’s not my absolute favorite dress of the night, she still makes my “Top 10” cut for being the awesome person she is.
Obviously the Country girls took home the prize for “most best dressed” on my list. With a few of them being new-ish attendees, I think they did a great job taking risks but keeping it polished.
That’s all from me, see you next time for the Oscars.
