This isn’t exactly a “minimal“ post, but it is a more timely Best Dressed list than the Golden Globes recap.
Our favorite celebrities tend to take more fashion risks at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, and this year did not disappoint. Whether a hit or a miss, it’s always exciting to see people take a chance on their red carpet look.
Here’s my Top 10 Best Dressed List…
Why? It’s bold but neutral- with a revealing silhouette and subtle hue. Personally, I would have forgone the bows.
Why? The ruffled bodice and metallic straps give this dress the edge it needed. Plus, white was definitely a trending color on the red carpet last night.
Why? Like I said, people take chances at the SAG Awards and Nicole made a statement in this all-over sequin dress. I’d say green is in her color wheel.
Why? She’s back at it again and we can’t help but think she’s making more than just a fashion statement in this power suit. This time adding a little color and a crop ankle pant.
Why? Speaking of power suits, these Stranger Things actors know how to work a red carpet. Not to mention they make pretty convincing real life best friends.
Why? I can’t get enough “wine”- the drink and the color. Incorporating lace and large ruffles make this an overall trend-right look.
Why? It’s eye catching. She took a chance with a tribal vibe and bold colored stripes. I also love the subtle see-thru detail at the bottom.
Why? Next to Nicole Kidman she took the biggest risk- and it paid off. While it’s not something I’d personally like to add to my wardrobe, I appreciate the whimsical detail that went into it.
Why? She makes a deep plunging neckline and mesh cut outs look effortlessly elegant. Sending me flashback Desperate Housewives vibes.
Why? Thinking back to the Golden Globes, this mixes two of my favorite looks: Brie Larson’s red sweetheart gown and Mandy Moore’s navy cape. Annalise looks stunning and from what I saw, she more than owned the look.
That does it for my SAG Awards list. Look out for more upcoming fashion posts in the not-so-distant future.
